    European Parliament proposes a Single European Transport Area

    Press release by Ádám Kósa MEP - On today's plenary sitting in Strasbourg, the Report of Belgian EPP Group MEP Matthieu Grosch on the single European transport area was adopted with a great majority. The document is the European Parliament's answer to the White Paper on Transport, issued by the European Commission in March 2011 to set the short and long-term objectives to be achieved in the field of transport until 2050. The Parliament calls upon the Commission in the Report to bring that intermediate measures that are essential for the Single European Transport Area.
